Core ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute data-driven content strategies aligned with client objectives and customer needs.Conduct content audits and gap analyses to identify improvement areas and opportunities.Research and derive insights from competitive content strategies from direct competitors (to our clients), and from other good performers in lateral industries.Redesign Information Architecture for better usability, semantic clarity, and understandability by (both) search engines and Gen AI summarization engines.Collaborate with UX, design, SEO, and development teams to deliver cohesive digital experiences.Prepare on-page content strategy for best scan ability and dialogue flow.Prepare user journey content strategy, in conjunction with UX and creative teams.Work with UX to test understandability of information architecture, and effectiveness of sequential content (across user journey steps)Prepare content mapping and content editorial documentation to help BA's and development teams complete content migrations.Create and manage editorial calendars, content maps, governance documents, and writing style guides.Ensure content strategy fosters SEO best practices and supports performance goals (traffic, engagement, conversion).Measure content effectiveness using existing tools (like GA4) and novel approaches (like Gen AI analysis) to provide actionable insights about improving entire content types, or specific pieces of content.Oversee content governance by developing quality standards and consistency in tone, voice, and style.Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and content marketing innovations. What will I bring to the team?Command of the English language.Information Architecture and content modeling skillset.Content effectiveness analysis skillset.Ability to "sell" a specific content strategy to client stakeholders.5+ experience in content strategy, information architecture, content creation, and/or content governance.Excellent writing and editorial skills with the ability to adapt tone and voice across platforms.Excellent command of Gen AI platforms, when used as aids for content analysis and content synthesis.Proficiency in SEO principles, keyword research, and content performance analysis (GA4, GSC, SEMrush, etc.).Some hands-on experience with CMS platforms like Sitecore or WordPress.Familiarity with customer journey mapping and persona-based content planning.Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work cross-functionally with design, UX, SEO, and development teams.Ability to think strategically, manage multiple projects, and deliver high-quality content in a fast-paced environment.
