Consultant in Forensic Pathology Medical City for Military and Security Services Muscat, Sultanate of OmanThe Medical City for Military and Security Services (MCMSS) in Muscat Oman is a Tertiary/Quaternary Care level city providing services to patients of different age groups in different specialties.MCMSS is seeking to appointConsultant in Forensic Pathology,who is well trained and highly motivated individual to develop her/his professional career within the MCMSS.Education/Qualifications/experience : High School Diploma, Bachelor of Medicine (MD), Certificate of Completion of Internship in Medicine. Higher Specialization Certificate in Forensic Pathology (4 years or more) with a fellowship in one of the forensic medical specialties with a total of 10 years of experience in forensic medicine after the fellowship. Higher Specialization Certificate in Forensic Pathology (4 years or more) or its equivalent with a total of at least 20 years of experience in forensic medicine after the specialty certificate. Or Master's Degree in Forensic Pathology with a total of no less than 25 years of experience in forensic medicine after the master's degree. Doctorate in Forensic Medicine with a total of no less than 15 years of experience in forensic medicine after the doctorate degree.Job Duties/Responsibilities: His forensic pathological work. Carrying out the technical medical tasks assigned to him by the Director of Forensic Medicine. Knowledge of policies, regulations, and laws applicable to the practice of forensic medicine. Problem-solving skills and providing the most appropriate solutions to the manager. Writing forensic medical reports. Proficient in communicating with all different groups within the scope of work, clients, and citizens. Ability to lead and develop forensic doctors. Ability to handle work pressures. Performs autopsies to determine the cause of death, classify its nature, if possible, the manner of its occurrence, and time of death. Participates in identifying the deceased (if unknown), and collects evidence from the body. Analyzes body tissue samples, or sometimes entire organs, obtained by forensic doctors in the Forensic Medicine Directorate under a microscope and identifies any injuries or diseases. Writes a report ensuring the application of security and safety standards in the work environment to ensure the safety of forensic doctors.
