Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Agric commodity global trader to join our team, reporting directly to the CEO. As a global trader, you will play a pivotal role in identifying and capitalizing on global trading opportunities in key agricultural commodities. You will be responsible for negotiating trade contracts, managing trading risks, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless operations.Previous experience of Agric trading /selling is essential for this role with a demonstrable in-depth knowledge and experience to include customers of spices, oilseeds, pulses and beans (cocoa and coffee) to Asia, Europe, Middle East markets.You will ideally have a portfolio of industry contacts. You must be an excellent communicator with strong verbal, written and numerical skills. Able to build relationships within the industry, working within a team based in Africa and customers global customers. Able to demonstrate sound decision making and aptitude to deliver exceptional customer services. Key Responsibilities• Develop new prospects and interact with international customers to generating leads.• Prospects follow up with cold calls and emails• Lead generation, pipeline management, and customers onboarding • Familiarization and interaction with international customers to achieve deals from the leads generated.• Deals closure with customers.• Familiarization with international variances in cultural and legal issues as pertaining to sale.• Searching for opportunities that enhance the sales and benefit of the clients.• Prepare efficient plans to systematize sales strategy.• Attend industry shows on behalf of the company.• Market penetration and development• Update all sales activities and track customers' progress on sales force • Perform market research and analyse company’s procedures to achieve all targets.• Other strategic, tactical, and operational activities to drive revenue and close deals.• Report generation on leads and conversation status update on sales force. Requirements• Upward of 4 years in experience in commodity trading any of spices, oilseeds, pulses and  beans (cocoa and coffee) to Asia, Europe, Middle East markets.• Strong negotiation and analytical skills.• Familiarity with African, Middle Eastern, European, or Asian commodity markets is a strong  advantage.• Ability to travel locally and internationally. Preferred Skills• Understanding of commodity contracts and trade finance• Data-driven decision-making and reporting skills
