Quaker Houghton is a global publicly traded company with a unique collaborative culture that supports career growth for its associates and offers competitive compensation and benefit programs.As Business Development Manager you are pivotal to advance and strengthen Quaker Houghton’s market position in the non-ferrous and Rod & Wire market and grow share of wallet, by way of demonstrating QH propositions and advantages against competition. Help meet customer’s business KPIs, implement suggested improvements in customers’ processes (within QH scope of work), and work with customer teams for unlocking value through win-win project and outcomes.What will you do ?Actively engage with customers and collaborate with the Sales team and/or technical team in developing business. Also help in product selection and application protocols, performance evaluation and develop best practices for products application, customer needs identification in collaboration with Sales team, translating the objective to the Laboratory, application, performance, cost parameters and servicing in accordance with marketing and sales objectives. When required, also provide technical and applications support to the frontline sales teams, direct and indirect customers in the region including – training, product recommendation, problem solving and trial support.Identify and understand customer needs, translating the objective to the appropriate function in the companyManage the process of product development between customer and LaboratoryProvide senior technical support to the frontline sales teamHandle all technical (product and application) related problems, as well as commercial elements referred from the fieldSelect appropriate products from the portfolio in accordance with business needs and product line strategyPropose product modifications within agreed criteria in applicable cases, to fulfill customer specific needs or requirementsHold presentations to customer on technical/product related subjects in co-operation with sales/key account manager.Co-ordinate with other functions to determine and establish technical feasibility and product cost as input for the final offer.Traveling 50% annually, mostly within the East India region. What are we looking for ? A candidate with solid experience within:Aluminium Rolling, Copper Rolling (Sheet, Rod & Wire) / Non-Ferrous Hot & Cold Rolling manufacturing techniques process knowledge.Similar customer facing roles in the rolling oils, greases, cleaners, lubricants or similar business is highly valued, but not mandatory. We offer full training in our NF product offering.Great communication skills and a clear customer focus to be able to build strong stakeholder relationships.Safety conscious. Safety is at the core of our culture. This role is remote based, ideally within East India for a better work-life balance.
