ANSR is hiring for one of its client. We are seeking a proactive and versatile Senior HR Business Partner to help establish and lead the Human Resources function for our newly established operations in India. This role will be based in Trivandrum and also provide HR coverage for our Pune location. As a key member of the team, this role will ensure that our HR practices align with Indian laws and global standards while fostering a compliant, ethical, and high-performing work culture. This is a foundational role that will play a key part in shaping our company culture, building high-performing teams, and ensuring compliance with Indian labor laws and HR best practices. The Senior HR Business Partner will partner with key stakeholders to develop the HR strategy, providing expert consultation to the business whilst ensuring compliance with internal and external regulations and processes. You will champion and lead best practice people related activities and outcomes ensuring the company complies with local labor and employment laws. This position reports to the Senior Vice President Corporate HR. Partners with Corporate HR team in the development and execution of a holistic people strategy Serves as the local HR leader for India Align local HR strategy with global business goals and global HR frameworks. Build a positive and inclusive workplace culture. Develop and execute employee engagement initiatives. Act as a trusted advisor to employees and managers on people-related matters Support employee development plans, training initiatives, and L&D programs. Ensure compliance with Indian labor laws, statutory obligations, and HR audits Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on organizational design, talent management, and risk mitigation Leverage data and analytics in designing innovative people solutions Ensure 100% compliance with all applicable labor laws, including the Factories Act, Shops & Establishments Act, PF, ESI, Gratuity, and POSH regulations. Oversee HR audits, inspections, and statutory filings in coordination with legal and finance teams. Develop and monitor internal controls, documentation, and processes to maintain compliance integrity Design, implement, and regularly update HR policies and SOPs to align with Indian labor law and company values. Certifications in labor law, HR compliance, or governance (e.g., SHRM-CP, LL.B.). Experience managing multi-location or multi-state HR operations in India. High level of integrity, discretion, and ethical judgment Stays updated on labor laws, regulations, and industry trends to ensure HR practices are compliant. Manages a direct report and works closely with 3rd party HR Operations/recruitment provider Demonstrated experience applying laws and policies to employee relations issues for a favorable outcome. Requires ability to review multiple data sources and prepare and present concise analysis. Experience in training, facilitation and team building is necessary. Experience partnering globally and leveraging centers of expertise Experience in navigating Workday and similar HR Information Systems Computer fluency, MS Office Fluent in English Knowledge of India employment law Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. 8-10 years of progressive HR experience; prior experience in setting up HR systems is a plus. Strong knowledge of Indian labor laws and HR compliance. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills. Proactive, hands-on, and comfortable working in a dynamic, evolving environment Experience in planning, implementation, and evaluation of organizational changes. Experience leading people and large scale projects Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. 8-10 years of progressive HR experience; prior experience in setting up HR systems is a plus. Strong knowledge of Indian labor laws and HR compliance. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
