With a history of satisfied customers, Lamda's product portfolio includes Aluminium castings, precision machined parts and Off-Road Vehicle Accessories.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time on-site role as a Machining Tool and Fixture Designer at Lamda Components Pvt. Ltd. based in Bengaluru. The role involves designing and developing machining tools, fixtures, and moulds for various products. The designer will be responsible for creating detailed design drawings, collaborating with the engineering team, and ensuring the quality and efficiency of machining operations.QualificationsMachine Tooling Design and Design Engineering skillsFixture Design experienceProficiency in CAD software for tool and fixture designStrong understanding of machining and manufacturing processesExcellent problem-solving and analytical skillsExperience in the automotive industry Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related fieldKnowledge in simulation processExperience with metalworking tools including drills, milling machines, grinders, and lathes.Experience with quality control analysis.Experience with material selection and process analysis.Awareness about quality tools and IATF 16949.II) Responsibilities:-1. Reading and interpreting, design schematics, and CAD/3D drawings.2. Preparing Road map with time line and regular tracking of the progress3. Visualising and computing metal shapes and tolerances.4. Designing jigs and templates as work aids in the fabrication of parts.5. Measuring and marking metal stock for machining.6. Setting up machine tools such as drills, lathes, grinders, and millingmachines.7. Ability of Shaping blocks to specified dimensions.8. Fitting and assembling tools and die parts.9. Communicating with suppliers in case of outsourced processes.10. Inspecting finished dies and tools for defects, smoothness etc.11. Conducting test runs with completed tools and dies.12. Advanced troubleshooting skills13. Maintain the track records for the tools.14. Preparing of budget and proposal for management approvals15. Co-ordination with concerned staff to achieve targets.16. Internal reports preparation and sharing for discussion.17. Complete DFM knowledge, and preparing presentations.18. Communicating with Lead time based on Dimension Proving.
