Job Title:Manager / Sr Manager – Land Legal Job Location :AhmedabadExperience Required :6–12 years with strong exposure to land legal matters in Gujarat, especially in large-scale solar power project land aggregationQualification :LLB / LLM from a reputed institutionKnowledge :  Deep understanding of Gujarat-specific land laws and land registration systems  Experience working with large tracts of land for solar park / utility-scale development  Proficiency in reading and interpreting Gujarati land records (7/12, 8A, mutation entries, etc.)Skills :  Strong legal documentation and negotiation skills  Regional language proficiency in Gujarati is essential  Willingness to travel within Gujarat for land-related legal matters  Proactive coordination with land and project teamsJob Description: To manage legal aspects of land aggregation, title due diligence, and regulatory compliance for large-scale solar projects in Gujarat. The role requires deep knowledge of Gujarat land laws and experience in acquiring, verifying, and securing land parcels for utility-scale renewable energy projects.Key Responsibilities:1. Land Legal Due Diligence – Gujarat Focus:  Conduct detailed title verification and legal due diligence of private, government, and agricultural lands across Gujarat.  Identify ownership patterns, encumbrances, tenancy claims, and litigation risks.  Ensure legal sanctity and clear title for acquired land.2. Land Aggregation Support:  Work closely with land aggregators, local intermediaries, and village-level contacts to validate documentation and ensure legal enforceability.  Review and vet MoUs, sale agreements, and lease agreements for aggregated land parcels.3. Drafting & Registration:  Draft, vet, and negotiate key legal documents: MoUs, Agreements to Sell, Sale Deeds, Lease Deeds, PoAs.  Oversee registration and mutation of land in favor of the company or SPVs.  Coordinate with sub-registrars and revenue officials for timely execution.4. Regulatory & Statutory Compliances:  Ensure compliance with relevant Gujarat State Acts including: o Bombay Tenancy and Agricultural Lands Act o Land Revenue Code (Gujarat) o Gujarat Ceiling on Land Holdings Act o Conversion from agricultural to NA use as required  Coordinate for 7/12 extracts, Form 6, and land mutation records.5. Liaison & Approvals:  Engage with talatis, mamlatdars, and district-level land/revenue offices for land approvals, verification, and resolution of legal queries.  Interface with state nodal agencies like GEDA, GETCO, and SLDC as required from a land legal perspective.6. Risk Mitigation & Dispute Handling:  Identify and mitigate potential legal risks and title challenges.  Manage disputes, encroachments, or title objections if any arise during or post- acquisition.  Coordinate with legal counsel for ongoing or potential litigation.Travel Requirements: Frequent travel within Gujarat to project sites, land offices, and district government departments.
