Our expertise empowers organizations across industries to thrive in the digital era with customized, high-impact solutions that ensure success in an ever-evolving landscape.Job Title: Senior MQ Administrator (Mainframe)Location: Noida Experience: 6-8 years Location: BangaloreJob Description:We are seeking a highly skilled Senior MQ Administrator with strong experience in MQ Administration on Mainframe systems.The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of MQ administration and a proven track record of managing andtroubleshooting MQ systems. The role will involve setup, configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and support for MQ environments running on Mainframe platforms.Responsibilities:Setup and configure MQ on new Mainframe LPAR.Create and manage new Queue Managers.Perform upgrades to MQ versions or apply fix packs.Restart Queue Managers and validate MQ objects post activities such as patching and restarts.Apply, renew, and manage TLS certificates on Queue Managers.Troubleshoot and repair Queue Managers after restarts.Manage MQ libraries and files on Mainframe systems.Create, alter, and delete MQ objects (queues, topics, etc.) on Queue Managers.Configure and apply security settings, including TLS on MQ channels and application connection authorizations.Troubleshoot MQ platform-related issues and escalate with IBM support (PMR).Perform regular MQ backups and monitoring activities.Coordinate with the Mainframe Administration team on tasks such as upgrades, fix packs, certificates, restarts, storage, and backup activities.Implement and manage Queue Sharing Groups (QSG).Configure Queue Managers for MQ Cluster membership and manage routing to external Queue Managers via Gateway Queue Managers.Qualifications:6-8 years of hands-on experience in MQ Administration, with a strong background in Mainframe environments (Senior or L3 level).Deep understanding of MQ Administration tasks, including setup, configuration, and troubleshooting.Extensive experience in managing MQ Queue Managers, object creation, and security configurations.Strong knowledge of MQ libraries and files in Mainframe.Proficient in applying and renewing TLS certificates for Queue Managers.Experience in handling MQ backups, monitoring, and performance tuning.Ability to coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams, particularly the Mainframe Administration team.Familiarity with Queue Sharing Groups and MQ Clusters.Strong problem-solving skills and experience working with IBM support teams to resolve issues.Skills and Competencies:Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.Excellent communication skills to collaborate with teams and raise escalations.A proactive approach to system administration and support.
