In this position, you’ll work directly with clients to help resolve complex tax matters with the IRS and state taxing authorities, making a meaningful impact on their financial well-being while contributing to our mission of delivering trusted, results-driven solutions.What You'll Do Here:Problem-Solving: Use strong analytical and problem-solving skills to evaluate and determine the best course of action to resolve client tax issues.Consultation: Collaborate with TR team members and provide tax problem-solving solutions for our clients.Communication: Regularly work with team members to assist with client consultations and resolve tax issues, articulating needs to clients clearly.Documentation: Document and update team members on important client resolution actions, including status updates and necessary information that needs to be obtained.Planning: Set up plans to resolve client issues by evaluating client facts, options, and aligning plans with clients' needs.Recommendations: Draft solution-oriented recommendations, strategies, and arguments addressing specific clients’ tax issues.Management: Manage assigned clients and priorities, working with other team members to resolve client issues quickly and efficiently.Negotiate: Negotiate collection agreements with the taxing authorities, based on each client’s financial ability to pay their tax liabilities.Sales: Offer additional services when applicable.Skills You’ll Bring for Success:Must be eligible to practice before the IRS (Enrolled Agent, Tax Attorney, or CPA)Minimum of 5 years of experience representing clients before the IRSExperience responding to audits and CP2000 exam notices and filing reconsideration requestsSkilled in collection agreement representation based on a taxpayer’s ability to payExperience preparing financial disclosure forms (Form 433-A, 433-B, and 433-F)Proven success establishing Streamlined Installment Agreements, Nonstandard and Partial Pay Installment Agreements, Currently Not Collectible (CNC) status and submitting and negotiating Offers in Compromise (OIC)Experience negotiating state tax collection agreementsExperience preparing individual tax returns; business tax return preparation is a plusStrong understanding of tax problems and resolution strategiesProfessional demeanor with a service-oriented mindsetExcellent problem-solving, organizational, written, and verbal communication skillsAbility to effectively prioritize and manage a caseloadHigh attention to detail and accuracySelf-motivated and adaptable to changeProficient with computers and tax-related software applicationsWhat you will get if you join us: Fully work from home opportunityCompetitive Salary plus BonusHealth insurance, Personal Accidental & Life Insurance BenefitsInnovative culture with an open and collaborative environmentMany opportunities to develop core and new skillsets and have a stake in your own successFreedom to create your best work and make a visible impact on the organization
