Job Summary:We are looking for a skilled InstallShield Developer with 4–6 years of hands-on experience in creating, maintaining, and troubleshooting Windows installer packages. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of Windows Installer technologies, MSI/MSM packaging, and scripting using InstallShield or equivalent tools.Key Responsibilities:Design, develop, and maintain robust installer packages using InstallShield (Professional or Premier edition).Create custom actions and scripts to support complex installation scenarios.Work with cross-functional teams to gather installation requirements and convert them into installation logic.Debug and resolve installation issues related to registry, services, DLLs, file permissions, and environment variables.Maintain version control of installation scripts and ensure backward compatibility during upgrades.Automate builds and deployment processes where possible.Provide support during deployment and post-deployment phases.Required Skills & Qualifications:4–6 years of professional experience in InstallShield-based installation development.Proficiency in Windows Installer technologies (MSI, MSM, MST).Experience with scripting (InstallScript, PowerShell, VBScript).Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills in Windows environments.Understanding of software deployment and update mechanisms.Familiarity with version control tools like Git or SVN.Good communication and documentation skills.Preferred Qualifications:Knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps).Experience with Windows Services, .NET applications, and Registry configurations.Exposure to application packaging tools beyond InstallShield (e.g., WiX, Advanced Installer).
