Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and reliable Server Administrator to set up, maintain, and secure both on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Linux server management, database administration, cloud services, version control systems, and CI/CD pipelines. This is a hands-on role that requires in-depth technical expertise, proactive problem-solving, and a focus on operational stability and performance. Responsibilities Configure and deploy bare metal servers from scratch. Administer and maintain Linux servers (Ubuntu, CentOS, etc.). Install and maintain programming environments including PHP, Node.js, Python, and Java. Manage relational and non-relational databases (MySQL, MongoDB); PostgreSQL is a plus. Set up MySQL Master-Master and Master-Slave replication. Configure MongoDB Replica Sets for fault tolerance. Develop and maintain reliable backup and recovery strategies for databases and websites. Monitor and secure servers, apply patches, and troubleshoot issues. Deploy and manage infrastructure in cloud environments: AWS, Google Cloud, Azure. Set up and manage Git servers, including user access and repository maintenance. Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments and testing. Required Skills: Strong hands-on experience with Linux system administration and server provisioning. Proficiency in MySQL and MongoDB setup, replication, and performance tuning. Working knowledge of PostgreSQL (preferred). Experience installing and managing Git servers (e.g., GitLab, Gitea, etc.). Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or similar. Comfortable with scripting and automation (Bash, Python, etc.). Practical knowledge of cloud services: AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure. Solid understanding of security best practices for servers, databases, and code deployments. Ability to create and enforce effective backup and disaster recovery policies.
