Job Summary:We are looking for a detail-oriented and technically skilled Data Collection Engineer to join our team. This role will be responsible for managing and executing data collection processes, ensuring data quality and completeness, and handling hardware setup and calibration using advanced camera systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge of data tools such as SQL, Excel, and Python, combined with experience in camera calibration and a keen understanding of client data protocol requirements.3+ years of experience in data engineering, robotics, computer vision, or related fields.Key Responsibilities:Data Handling & Processing:Collect, validate, and preprocess data from multiple sources, including sensors, databases, and cameras.Write SQL queries to extract and manipulate data.Use Excel for data analysis, validation, and reporting.Develop Python scripts for automation, data transformation, and batch processing.Protocol Understanding & Compliance:Collaborate with clients to understand and translate protocol requirements into actionable data collection and handling procedures.Ensure adherence to data quality standards and specifications as defined by stakeholders.Camera Setup & Calibration:Set up and operate RGBD, infrared (IR), and 3D depth cameras for field or lab-based data collection.Perform intrinsic and extrinsic camera calibrations to ensure accurate sensor alignment.Troubleshoot calibration and data integrity issues in real time.Documentation & Reporting:Document processes, calibration results, and data collection methodologies.Prepare technical reports and summaries for internal and client use.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.3+ years of experience in data engineering, robotics, computer vision, or related fields.Proficiency in SQL, Microsoft Excel, and Python.Experience with camera calibration (intrinsic and extrinsic) techniques.Hands-on experience with RGBD, IR, or 3D depth camera systems (e.g., RealSense, ZED, Azure Kinect).Strong communication skills for client interaction and cross-functional collaboration.Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
