Overview of the Role As an Assistant Manager-Horticulture, you are responsible for managing multiple corporate clients for their Plant Care Services. This will include hiring, training, leading, and developing a team of Plant Care Supervisors, Plant Care Staff, and other operations teams to run the landscape maintenance operations smoothly in the given geography. Major accountability will include top-quality interior landscape maintenance, meeting all service deliverables, and the highest level of client satisfaction. Roles and Responsibilities: ∙ Team Leadership and Oversight: Directly manage and supervise a team of 50-60 gardeners. Have a direct reporting line for 3-4 supervisors. ∙ Plant Species Selection and Recommendations: Identify and recommend suitable plant species based on local climate conditions, maintenance requirements, and aesthetic preferences. ∙ Softscape Maintenance Oversight: Actively engage in softscape maintenance, overseeing the nurturing and care of planted areas to ensure optimal growth and development. ∙ On-Site Visits and Progress Monitoring: Conduct frequent on-site visits & inspections to monitor progress, address challenges, and ensure adherence to design specifications. ∙ Supervision and Management of Daily Operations: Manage daily landscape maintenance operations of Supervisors and Plant Care Staff. Daily travel through the territory visiting clients, and assisting Supervisors, and Plant Care staff. ∙ Nutrition and Fertilization Schedule: Guide Plant Care team for Weekly/Monthly/Quarterly plant nutrition/fertilization schedule. Provide special attention towards plant cleaning, pruning, watering, and plant rotation as required. ∙ Coordination with Internal Stakeholders & Clients: Maintain strong coordination with internal stakeholders like Nursery, Administration, Finance, and HR for smooth functioning of operations and billing.
