About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Cinematographer to join our dynamic video production team. This role is pivotal in elevating visual storytelling and production quality across a variety of high-impact video formats, including masterclasses, brand films, product explainers, and digital content. You’ll be responsible for crafting sophisticated visual experiences by expertly managing lighting, camera work, and color workflows, ensuring every frame aligns with our premium visual standards.If you have a keen eye for detail, a deep understanding of lighting design and camera operations, and the technical expertise to shoot log footage with an eye towards color grading and post-production, we want to hear from you.Key ResponsibilitiesLighting & CinematographyDesign and implement professional lighting setups tailored to each project’s visual tone—ranging from cinematic, moody looks to clean, educational environments.Execute precise exposure control, particularly when shooting in S-Log/Log formats, maintaining maximum dynamic range and color fidelity.Achieve flawless skin tones, balanced highlights, and controlled shadows across varied skin types, wardrobe, and set conditions.Camera Operation & FramingOperate and manage high-end cinema cameras (Sony FX series, Canon Cinema Line, Blackmagic, RED), ensuring consistency, sharpness, and visual narrative coherence.Plan and execute shot lists, storyboards, and camera movements that serve the content’s purpose—whether static, engaging talk segments or dynamic B-roll sequences.Color Science & Look DevelopmentEnsure color accuracy and visual consistency from pre-production through post-production.Capture footage optimized for color grading, working closely with colorists to establish visual LUTs and look development pipelines.Maintain consistency in white balance, color temperature, and light intensity across shooting days.Pre-Production & On-Set WorkflowsCollaborate with directors, production designers, and producers to plan the visual approach, assess location lighting conditions, and ensure the smooth technical execution of shoots.Conduct camera and lighting rehearsals to finalize blocking, movement, and lighting dynamics prior to the main shoot.Equipment Handling & Technical KnowledgeManage and maintain camera kits, lenses, lighting gear, and grip equipment, ensuring all setups are efficient, safe, and production-ready.Stay up-to-date on the latest camera technologies, lighting techniques, and workflow best practices to continuously innovate the visual output.What We’re Looking ForExperience: Minimum 2-3+ years as a Cinematographer, Director of Photography (DOP), or Senior Camera Operator on professional sets, ideally with a portfolio showcasing interviews, corporate films, educational content, events and commercial shoots.Camera Proficiency: Expertise in handling Sony FX series, Canon Cinema, Blackmagic, or RED cameras. Solid understanding of frame rates, resolutions, and codecs for different distribution platforms.Lighting Mastery: Ability to conceptualize and execute lighting setups for varied formats, whether controlled studio environments or practical on-location shoots.Color Knowledge: Familiarity with color grading pipelines, LUTs, S-Log/RAW workflows, and color calibration techniques to ensure seamless post-production integration.Attention to Detail: Hyper-focused on lighting ratios, textures, color balance, and exposure, ensuring that every frame maintains the visual language of the brand.Collaborative & Organized: Comfortable working within multi-disciplinary teams, leading small crews, and maintaining efficient production timelines without compromising on quality.Nice to HaveExperience with virtual production setups, LED wall integration, or green screen workflows.Knowledge of audio-visual synchronization, and understanding how to collaborate with sound teams on set.Familiarity with motion graphics, ensuring live-action shots are post-friendly for compositing.
