We are hiring a skilled and responsible Blood Bank Technician to join our laboratory team focused on the production of human platelet lysate (hPL) from expired platelet units. This role is ideal for a technician with blood banking experience who is looking to contribute to research and regenerative medicine by utilizing otherwise discarded biological materials in a high-quality, GMP-compliant setting. Responsibilities Receive, inspect, and log expired Platelet Concentrate (PC) and Fresh Frozen Plasma (FFP) units from certified blood bank Follow SOPs for the preparation of human platelet lysate from expired platelet units Perform quality control checks, including sterility screening, pH, turbidity, and contamination assessment Operate centrifuges, freezers, plasma extractors, and related laboratory equipment Handle biological material safely and ensure traceability of all processed batches Maintain cleanroom hygiene and aseptic processing standards Document every step in compliance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and/or GMP requirements Assist with storage, labeling, inventory, and batch release processes Coordinate with the quality assurance team for batch review and audit readiness Eligibility Diploma / B.Sc. in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT/BMLT) or equivalent Minimum 1 year of experience in a licensed blood bank or transfusion laboratory Familiarity with handling expired blood components for research purposes (preferred) Knowledge of blood grouping, serological testing, and aseptic techniques Experience with centrifugation, freezing protocols (-80°C), and biosafety practices Ability to follow SOPs, maintain records, and work in a regulated environment Basic knowledge of regulatory standards such as NABL, NACO, or CDSCO is desirable What we offer Opportunity to work in a cutting-edge biomedical research environment Training and exposure to translational research in regenerative medicine and cell therapy Supportive and quality-driven team culture How to apply?
