Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for a VP – Strategic Development (BTL) based in Gurugram. The VP is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining strong client relationships, and driving revenue growth through strategic partnerships and on-ground marketing campaigns. This role demands a deep understanding of BTL (Below-the-Line) marketing tactics such as activations, roadshows, mall promotions, rural outreach, and experiential events. The BDM will work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth planning, execution, and delivery of brand campaigns that align with client goals.. The VP will also work closely with other executives to ensure the successful execution of marketing activations and campaigns. Qualifications Strong skills in Business Planning and Strategic Planning Proven experience in Executive Management and Leadership Exceptional Analytical Skills and Financial Acumen Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work on-site in Gurugram Master’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field is preferred Key Responsibilities: Identify and generate new business leads through direct outreach, referrals, and networking. Pitch agency services to brands, marketing heads, and decision-makers. Develop customized activation and campaign proposals in collaboration with the creative and operations teams. Negotiate and close deals, ensuring profitable and long-term client engagements. Maintain strong relationships with existing clients to upsell and secure repeat business. Coordinate with the execution and operations teams for smooth campaign rollout. Stay updated on market trends, competitor activities, and brand activation opportunities. Represent the agency at industry events, exhibitions, and client meetings. Key Skills & Qualifications: Strong knowledge of BTL marketing and brand activations. Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. Proven experience in business development or sales in the advertising/activation/event industry. Ability to work under pressure and meet revenue targets. Creative thinking with a solution-oriented mindset. Willingness to travel for client meetings and campaign oversight. Educational Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Marketing , Business Administration , Mass Communication , or a related field. An MBA or PGDM in Marketing/Sales is preferred but not mandatory. Candidates with diplomas or certifications in Event Management , Advertising , or BTL Marketing will also be considered. Preferred Attributes: Willingness to travel frequently for client meetings and on-ground campaign inspections. A self-starter with a go-getter attitude and result-oriented approach. Prior experience in activation campaigns for FMCG, telecom, auto, healthcare, or government projects is a plus.
