Join us in our mission to create a greener future, one smart container at a time!Job Summary:We are seeking a highly motivated and talented UI/UX Designer & Web Developer to join our growing team on part time basis to begin with. In this hybrid role, you will be instrumental in shaping the user experience and visual design of our mobile application and web platforms, while also contributing to front-end web development. You will advocate for the user, ensuring our products are intuitive, delightful, and align perfectly with our mission of sustainability and healthier living.Key Responsibilities:User Experience (UX) Design:Conduct comprehensive user research (interviews, surveys, usability testing) to understand user needs, behaviors, and pain points related to food consumption, takeout, and sustainable practices.Develop user personas, user journeys, and user flows to illustrate how users interact with our smart containers, mobile app, and web platforms.Create wireframes and interactive prototypes (low to high-fidelity) for both mobile (iOS/Android) and web interfaces, focusing on usability, functionality, and information architecture.Design intuitive navigation systems that guide users seamlessly through the checkout process, container management, and health-related features.Plan and execute usability testing sessions, analyze feedback, and iterate on designs to continuously improve the user experience.Identify and resolve UX issues, making data-driven design decisions.User Interface (UI) Design:Design visually stunning, modern, and consistent user interfaces for our native mobile application (iOS and Android) and responsive web platforms.Develop and maintain comprehensive design systems, style guides, and UI component libraries to ensure brand consistency and efficiency across all products.Select appropriate color palettes, typography, iconography, and imagery that align with our brand identity and enhance user engagement.Create engaging micro-interactions and animations to provide delightful feedback and improve overall usability.Ensure all designs adhere to accessibility standards, making our products usable by a diverse range of users.Web Design & Development:Translate UI/UX designs into high-quality, responsive, and performant front-end code using HTML, CSS (with Tailwind CSS), and JavaScript (with React).Develop and maintain engaging web pages for marketing, information, and user support, ensuring a cohesive experience with the mobile app.Collaborate with backend developers to integrate front-end components with API endpoints and ensure seamless data flow.Optimize web performance and ensure cross-browser compatibility.Collaboration & Strategy:Work closely with product managers, engineers, and marketing teams throughout the product development lifecycle.Present design concepts and rationale to stakeholders, incorporating feedback effectively.Contribute to the overall product strategy, advocating for user-centered design principles and innovative solutions that support our mission.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in design, Multimedia, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.4+ years of professional experience in UI/UX design for mobile applications and web platforms.Proven experience in front-end web development with strong proficiency in HTML, CSS (Tailwind CSS preferred), and JavaScript (React frameworks)A strong portfolio showcasing your UI/UX design process, visual design skills, and front-end development capabilities for both mobile and web.Proficiency with design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar.Solid understanding of user-centered design principles, mobile-first design, and responsive web design.Experience conducting user research and usability testing.Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.A passion for sustainability, healthy living, and innovative technology.
