Role: VXBlock/vxRail Associate(Required 8-11 years experience)Location: Chennai. BangalorePrimary Job Responsibilities: vXBlock/vxRail/ VMware/Storage/CiscoUCSKnowledge on Cisco UCS B-Series servers with UCSM.Troubleshoot all vBlock related issues (performance and incident management).Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades and resource optimization as required (RCM/Matrix upgrades).Day to day L3 operational activities as needed to ensure SLA’s are met.Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for VDI environment.Configure and manage storage pools / Luns.Act as an escalation point for all issues related to vBlocks, Windows Servers, Linux Servers, VNX, XIV, XTermIO storage issues, Horizon Suite and vSphere.Assist the team in defining standards for virtualization technologies and best practices for their use.Identify important potential technologies and approaches to address current and future needs within the enterprise, evaluate their applicability and fit, and make recommendations.Design, deploy, administer and troubleshoot systems for performance efficiency and availability, ensuring best practices.Provide preventative maintenance routines to ensure system performance, availability, and security.Assists in the development of disaster recovery plans with service providers, using technologies VMware SRM, Storage Replication, and vSphere Replication.Build automation scripts for the infrastructure technologies supported.Participate in change and incident management.Analyze and troubleshoot VMware server deployment and virtualization issues.Participate in a 24/7 on-call schedule.Knowledge, Skills and Competencies:Practical hands-on expert experience with Vblock technologies.Equivalent knowledge of hands on technical experience with Cisco UCS, vSphere, VMware ESXi, , SRM, vRealize Operations, vRealize Automation, preferred.EMC San Technologies, VMAX, VNX, XtremIO.Good understanding of Networking conceptsExcellent problem determination skills, and the ability to debug complex-cross systems problems, and document root cause including remediation and detection
