We are hiring a skilled and responsible Blood Bank Technician to join our laboratory team focused on the production of human platelet lysate (hPL) from expired platelet units. This role is ideal for a technician with blood banking experience who is looking to contribute to research and regenerative medicine by utilizing otherwise discarded biological materials in a high-quality, GMP-compliant setting.ResponsibilitiesReceive, inspect, and log expired Platelet Concentrate (PC) and Fresh Frozen Plasma (FFP) units from certified blood bankFollow SOPs for the preparation of human platelet lysate from expired platelet unitsPerform quality control checks, including sterility screening, pH, turbidity, and contamination assessmentOperate centrifuges, freezers, plasma extractors, and related laboratory equipmentHandle biological material safely and ensure traceability of all processed batchesMaintain cleanroom hygiene and aseptic processing standardsDocument every step in compliance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and/or GMP requirementsAssist with storage, labeling, inventory, and batch release processesCoordinate with the quality assurance team for batch review and audit readinessEligibilityDiploma / B.Sc. in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT/BMLT) or equivalentMinimum 1 year of experience in a licensed blood bank or transfusion laboratoryFamiliarity with handling expired blood components for research purposes (preferred)Knowledge of blood grouping, serological testing, and aseptic techniquesExperience with centrifugation, freezing protocols (-80°C), and biosafety practicesAbility to follow SOPs, maintain records, and work in a regulated environmentBasic knowledge of regulatory standards such as NABL, NACO, or CDSCO is desirableWhat we offerOpportunity to work in a cutting-edge biomedical research environmentTraining and exposure to translational research in regenerative medicine and cell therapySupportive and quality-driven team cultureHow to apply?
