Our client is looking for a Computational and Structural Engineer to join their innovative and multidisciplinary team. If you're passionate about the intersection of design, engineering, and technology, this might be the perfect opportunity.Role ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with cross-functional teams (architects, engineers, product, UX, UI, DevOps) to build a platform that automates repetitive tasks and generates accurate, dfMA-compliant building designs.Apply deep knowledge of structural behavior and simulate the performance of various components and materials.Develop optimized algorithms using numerical methods to simulate and adapt structural frames for different scenarios.Use mathematics and computational science to create workflows and algorithms powering core platform capabilities—from design generation and geometry visualization to sustainability metrics.Articulate and document structural problems to guide engineering teams in turning ideas into code.Evaluate and troubleshoot platform-generated designs for accuracy and completeness.Define an object model for building design systems that scales across all project phases.Create interoperability workflows for integration with BIM and other industry-standard tools.Engage with customers, domain experts, and SMEs to refine workflows and support platform automation goals.Stay ahead of computational design and parametric modeling trends.Skill Sets / RequirementsBachelor’s/Master’s in Computational Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Architecture6–10+ years in Building Construction, Architecture, or DesignExperience in spatial/structural/mechanical/electrical/plumbing engineering coordinationStrong understanding of mathematics and geometry in building modelingExpertise in design automation tools (Grasshopper, Revit, Bentley)Experience with SDKs/APIs for Rhino/Grasshopper, Revit, DynamoProgramming skills in Python, C#, or JavaExperience developing automation or generative design systems is a plusBIM platform knowledgeExcellent communication and problem-solving skillsStrong team player and collaborator
