We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Research Chemist with a Master's degree in Organic Chemistry and at least 5 years of hands-on experience in laboratory research and development. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in organic synthesis, process development, and delivery system optimization such as Liposomes, NLCs (Nanostructured Lipid Carriers), and other encapsulation techniques. This role will focus on supporting innovative R&D initiatives, lab-scale synthesis of active ingredients, and contributing to formulation and delivery system enhancement for cosmetic or specialty chemical applications.Key Responsibilities:Perform multistep organic synthesis and reaction optimization on lab scaleOperate and maintain various lab reactors (glass, stainless steel, jacketed)Handle and calibrate lab instruments such as rotary evaporators, vacuum pumps, stirrers, pH meters, ovens, etc.Conduct product purification using distillation, crystallization, extraction, and chromatographyMaintain accurate documentation of experiments, batch records, and lab observationsFollow SOPs, safety guidelines, GLP/GMP normsSupport scale-up processes and pilot plant trials when requiredCollaborate with cross-functional teams such as QA/QC, production, and regulatory affairsDevelop and optimize advanced delivery systems including Liposomes, NLCs, micro/nanoencapsulation technologies for active ingredientsRequired Skills:In-depth knowledge of organic reaction mechanisms and synthetic strategiesStrong experience with hazardous chemicals and lab safety protocolsWorking familiarity with analytical techniques such as TLC, HPLC, GC, and FTIRCapability to independently manage multiple R&D projectsExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and scientific documentation skillsPreferred Experience:Prior work in chemical, pharmaceutical, cosmetic, or specialty ingredient R&D labsExposure to delivery system development for actives (Liposomes, NLCs, etc.) is highly preferredExperience with pilot plant operations and process scale-up
