We blend LLMs, memory systems, STT/TTS, and third-party tool integrations to create scalable, outcome-driven AI workflows.About the Role We’re hiring our Founding AI Engineer to help design, build, and scale intelligent, agentic AI systems that operate autonomously across voice and chat. You’ll lead development across reasoning flows, memory systems, tool execution, and API integrations — building the foundation of our AI platform from the ground up.You’ll work directly with the founder in a fast-moving, zero-to-one environment where you’ll have a real say in what we build and how we build it. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in early-stage chaos, loves autonomy, and is excited to evolve into a lead or founding engineering role as the company grows.Key ResponsibilitiesArchitect and build Agentic AI systems that reason, act, and respond autonomously across multi-step workflowsDevelop multi-modal conversational agents that integrate voice (STT/TTS) and chat interfacesDesign end-to-end flows with contextual awareness and persistent memoryIntegrate deeply with external and internal systems — including CRMs, scheduling platforms, helpdesks, and databases — via robust API orchestrationImplement fallback logic, reasoning chains, and real-time observability to ensure stability and adaptabilityRapidly prototype, test, and iterate on AI-powered workflows based on real-world user feedbackCollaborate closely with the founder on system architecture, product roadmap, and technical directionRequired Skills & Qualifications3–4+ years of full-stack engineering experience, with strong backend skills in Python or Node.js/TypeScript and comfort working across the frontend stack.Hands-on experience working with LLM APIs and structured prompt engineeringExperience with agentic AI frameworks or multi-agent orchestration logicPrior work on conversational or voice-based applications (e.g., IVRs, voicebots, chat assistants)Proven ability to integrate with third-party APIs such as CRMs, scheduling tools, and support platformsBonus: Built or contributed to voicebots, IVRs, or real-world agent-based systemsFamiliarity with voice technologiesExperience working in a startup or early-stage product environmentWhy You'll thrive at Xtnsion.AIDevelop intelligent systems that act, not just converseTake end-to-end ownership with fast iteration and zero micromanagementCollaborate directly with the founder on product and technical visionGrow into a leadership role as we scale and expand the engineering teamEnjoy a remote-first culture with flexible hours and a foundation of trustWork on problems that deliver real business impact for global clients
