Roles & Responsibilities : The role entails managing the direct and indirect taxation for the organization creatively to ensure that the organization’s finances are accurately reported and taxes optimized. Key Responsibilities: Optimization of Tax Structuring of Business Transactions / Agreements from Direct & Indirect Tax perspective so as to create a win-win situation for all. Ensure that tax liabilities are optimized to ensure that the organization’s finances are optimally utilized. Managing tax liabilities creatively to ensure that the organization’s finances are accurately reported and taxes optimized Support in defining the Direct and Indirect tax strategy so as to control the tax liability of the organization to increase profits after tax (etc.) Tracking and analysis of changes in the Direct and Indirect Tax Laws and its implication on the company as a whole. Define policies that ensure compliance with the provisions of GST Act/ Income Tax / Labour Act / Company Act and Rules by arranging for timely and correct payment of tax to ensure that no penal interest / penalty is paid. Ensure that system readiness in place well in advance for any changes with respect to Direct and Indirect Taxes. Tax Compliance: Ensuring compliances with respect to all applicable Indirect and Direct Tax Laws on PAN India basis viz. filing of return, getting the audit done etc. Co-ordinate with Internal / External Auditor with respect to the compliances related to Direct and Indirect Tax and providing the requisite information for the purpose of quarterly / annual closure. Ensure compliance with SEBI and ICFOR for Direct and Indirect Tax related matters. Ensure that all the transactions are recorded on online real time basis with respect to both Direct and Indirect Tax matters. Close co-ordination with various departments for matters related to both Direct and Indirect tax. Guide the regional teams with respect to changes made by Direct and Indirect Tax Laws Litigation: Handle all the litigations with respect to Direct and Indirect Tax matters and support the regional teams in handling their respective matter Who are we looking for? Education: C.A / Experience: C.A with 2-3 years of with 7-9 years of experience with tax background preferably from same industry Skills: Knowledge of SAP Understanding of accounting policies Awareness of latest regulations pertaining to tax, accounting treatments etc What’s in it for you?
