DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF RESEARCH CADRE POST Parul Institute of Design is seeking candidates for a Research Cadre post in specializations of Interior Design, Product Design, Visual Communication, Animation and Film. Role & Responsibilities: In the research cadre post your main function shall be to catalyse research activity in the Faculty and to enhance research output in the form of publications and other intellectual properties. The following shall be the main functions to be performed by you: 1. To engage a weekly teaching load of maximum of 8 hours in their parent department/institution. 2. To undertake research in the area of your specialization. 3. To collaborate with other researchers in the University and outside the University from other institutions/research labs/industries for multi-disciplinary/inter-disciplinary research work. 4. To publish research/review articles/patents in designated numbers per annum through your own research work and through your collaboration as author/co-author. In all such articles your affiliation with Parul University must be reflected 5. If your research work leads to new innovations, such inventions need to be protected by filing patent applications. Due technical support would be provided by the University in filing of patent applications. 6. To apply for Research proposals to Government/Non-government funding agencies for financial support. 7. You shall be involved in organization of scientific talks/seminars/workshops etc. to disseminate scientific knowledge 8.
