Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled WLAN Tester to join our QA and testing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for validating and ensuring the performance, reliability, and functionality of wireless LAN (Wi-Fi) technologies across a range of devices and platforms. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and scripts for WLAN functionality and performance. Perform manual and automated testing of wireless protocols (e.g., 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax). Analyze WLAN performance in different scenarios (roaming, handoff, throughput, latency, etc.). Conduct interoperability and compatibility testing across multiple vendors/devices. Use tools such as Wireshark, iPerf, IxChariot, and protocol analyzers to identify and troubleshoot issues. Document test results, log defects, and work closely with development and hardware teams for issue resolution. Validate firmware and software builds for wireless access points, routers, and client devices. Maintain and configure testbeds with various network topologies and security configurations (WPA2, WPA3, etc.). Stay updated with new wireless technologies, standards, and industry trends. Required Skills and Qualifications: 2–9 years of experience in wireless/WLAN testing. Strong understanding of WLAN standards (IEEE 802.11 family). Hands-on experience with test tools: Wireshark, iPerf, AirMagnet, Ekahau, etc. Knowledge of networking protocols: TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, NAT, etc.
