All associates at Marriott Tech Accelerator will be ANSR employees, delivering services exclusively to ANSR's client, Marriott International.Role Title:Senior Microservices Engineer I Position Summary: We are seeking an exceptional engineering talent to join our team and lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable, event-driven cloud-native applications. The ideal candidate is passionate about solving complex problems, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is eager to work with modern technologies and architectural patterns. This role requires a collaborative engineer who can communicate effectively across teams and organizational levels, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical excellence. As a key contributor, you will design and deliver robust microservices using Java and Spring Boot, integrate with event streaming platforms such as Apache Kafka, and leverage container orchestration and cloud-native tools to build resilient, scalable solutions. You will have the opportunity to work with a broad set of technologies—including Java, Spring Boot, reactive programming, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, and both SQL and NoSQL databases—while contributing to the evolution of our microservices and event-driven architecture.Job Responsibilities: Technical Leadership & Delivery: Mentors and trains team members; provides financial input on budgets and resource estimates. Identifies process improvement opportunities in service delivery. Leads complex analysis and ensures completeness of business requirements before solutioning. Oversees adherence to development and business case processes; ensures coordination across IT and vendor teams. Provides guidance on systems development; escalates service-level issues proactively. Supports deployment and production activities in collaboration with Ops and Infra teams.IT Governance: Adheres to and contributes to improvements in IT governance, architecture, and project management standards. Balances business goals with operational risks.Service Provider Management: Validates project planning and deliverables from service providers, including estimates and schedules. Monitors service provider performance and ensures timely issue resolution. Plans short-term team resource allocation effectively.Skill and Experience: 4-6+ years of hands-on experience developing enterprise applications with Java and Spring Boot. Strong expertise in designing and building microservices and RESTful APIs, with a deep understanding of microservices architecture and integration patterns. Extensive experience with Apache Kafka for event-driven architectures and real-time data streaming. Experience in Reactive Programming (Spring WebFlux, Actor frameworks) Proficiency with SQL and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Couchbase, DB2). Solid hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration of cloud-native applications. Familiarity with DevOps tools such as GitHub, Harness, and Vault for source control, CI/CD, and secrets management. Strong understanding of API security protocols (OAuth, JWT, etc.) and best practices for securing distributed systems. Experience deploying and operating applications on AWS or similar cloud platforms. Exposure to logging and monitoring tools such as Dynatrace and Grails Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering high-quality, reliable software. Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate across teams and articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Education and Certifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience Work location:Hyderabad, India.
