Position OverviewThe Accountant will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with applicable regulations. The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, and experienced in general accounting practices.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and maintain financial records and reports Manage accounts payable and receivable Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts Process payroll and employee expense reports GST filings and coordination with external agencies like auditors, govt bodies Statutory filings and coordination for PF, ESI etc. Assist in month-end and year-end closing procedures Ensure compliance with local, state, and central financial regulations Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes Coordinate with external auditors during audits Maintain organized financial filing systems Generating monthly statement of expenses, payables and receivablesQualificationsBachelor’s or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 3 to 5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks or ERP systems) Strong understanding of GAAP and financial principles Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Proficient in Microsoft office and financial reporting tools Ability to handle confidential information with integrityPreferred QualificationsExperience in [industry, e.g., construction, engineering, manufacturing] Familiarity with project-based accounting or cost accounting practices
