We are seeking a talented Azure Cloud Engineer to manage and secure a wide range of Azure-based cloud resources. In this role, you will be responsible for the provisioning, configuration, automation, and ongoing management of cloud resources, as well as the implementation of security best practices and controls to ensure compliant and secure operations. WHAT YOU GET TO DO: Cloud Resource Management: Provision, configure, monitor, and manage cloud resources (compute, storage, networking, databases, etc.) for optimal performance and cost efficiency. Security Oversight: Implement and maintain security measures to protect cloud resources, following industry standards, TRIP, SFI controls, and organizational requirements. Access and Identity Management: Set up and manage user, group, and service access to cloud resources, utilizing identity and access management tools and policies for strong authorization and authentication controls. Networking Control: Configure and maintain networking and firewall rules (e.g., NSGs, VPNs, NSPs, private endpoints) to enforce secure access to and from cloud resources. Automation & Scripting: Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and security tasks using CloudShell, logic apps, and scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash). Compliance & Monitoring: Monitor usage and security logs, assess resource compliance with standards (e.g., SFI controls), generate reports with actionable recommendations, and execute/action recommendations and controls. Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams—including DevOps, Security, and IT across multiple orgs—to deliver secure, scalable, and reliable cloud solutions. Continuous Improvement: Evaluate and implement new cloud services, features, and tools to improve automation, management, and security processes. WHAT YOU BRING: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent experience. 5-7+ years of hands-on experience with managing cloud resources (Azure is a MUST). Practical understanding of cloud security principles and best practices. Familiarity with regulatory and Microsoft based compliance frameworks (e.g., SFI, TRIP, RAI, CIS, NIST). Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash) and familiarity with automation tools and services (e.g. Azure CloudShell, PowerShell, Logic Apps a plus). Expertise in EntraID secured systems, RBAC, and multi-tenant scenarios. Proficiency in managing access controls and networking in a cloud environment. Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with infrastructure-as-code (ARM templates, Bicep, Terraform). Awareness of cloud-native monitoring and security solutions. Exposure to Azure DevOps.
