Feel free to enrich both your personal and work life and hop onboard!WHY YOU’LL LOVE THIS JOB: The Engineer, Component Reliability is part of the PSA Tech Ops Division of the PSA Tech Services Center. This role involves developing and implementing operational efficient solutions, working with component OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) and repair facilities, and supporting aircraft systems and maintenance programs.WHAT YOU’LL DO: This list is intended to reflect the current job but there may be additional essential functions (and certainly non-essential job functions) that are not referenced. Management will modify the job or require other tasks be performed whenever it is deemed appropriate to do so, observing, of course, any legal obligations including any collective bargaining obligations. Provide engineering support for aircraft systems, maintenance programs, and operational engineering functions with a focus on CRJ-700/900 components Must be able to understand, analyze and seek solutions to the design, operation, maintenance, performance or repair of aircraft with a special focus on component Work with Supply Chain team and component repair facilities to establish Component Build Standards on rotables components that drive operational issues Ensure correct Service Bulletins (SBs) are incorporated into Top Ten rotables Collaborate with Technical Operations and Technical Services teams to ensure safe and reliable airline operations Develop solutions and implementation plans, project justification, cost/benefit analysis, and overall management of project implementation Review Service Bulletins (SBs) from airframe manufacture or component manufacture for effectivity to PSA Fleet Work with component OEMs and Repair facilities to ensure PSA understands technical challenges that impact PSA's fleet Other duties as assigned by Tech Services leadership Must be willing and able to travel 10% of the time, as needed, to the PSA HeadquartersALL YOU’LL NEED FOR SUCCESS Minimum Qualifications – Education & Prior Job Experience: Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field 3 years of experience in aircraft maintenance, engineering, or a related field FAA 121 Airline Operator and associate FARs or equivalent experiencePreferred Qualifications – Education & Prior Job Experience: Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field 5+ years of experience in aircraft maintenance, engineering, or a related field Experience with CRJ-700/900 aircraft systems and components Experience with Service Bulletins (SBs) and component repair facilitiesSkills, Licenses, and Certifications: Strong understanding of aircraft systems, maintenance programs, and operational engineering functions Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams Strong communication and project management skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management softwareLANGUAGE / COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and written with all levels within the organization Physical ability necessary to safely and successfully perform the essential functions of the position, with or without any legally required reasonable accommodations that do not pose an undue hardship.Note: If the Company has reason to question an employee’s physical ability to safely and/or successfully perform the position’s essential job functions, the HR team generally will engage in an interactive process to determine whether a reasonable accommodation is appropriate.
