As we expand our innovation capabilities, we’re looking for a Senior R&D Formulation Manager to drive excellence in product development and innovation.Role: Senior Chemist - Formulations in Beauty & Personal CaeeCategories: Haircare | Skincare | Makeup | Salon-Grade CosmeticsLocation: Gurgaon (On-site)Experience: 8–15 years in cosmetic or personal care formulationAs a Senior Chemist – Beauty & Personal Care , you will lead the formulation, development, and testing of cosmetic and personal care products, including skin care, hair care, and hygiene products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including marketing, regulatory, production, and quality to ensure innovative, effective, safe, and compliant products are brought to market on time.1. Product Formulation & Innovation Lead the formulation of new products across skin care, hair care, and body care categories.Innovate with new ingredients, technologies, and textures to stay ahead of trends.Develop stable, safe, and efficacious formulations with supporting data.2. Product Testing & Stability Conduct and oversee stability testing, compatibility testing, and efficacy studies.Troubleshoot formulation or production challenges and optimize formulations accordingly.Interpret analytical and sensory testing results to make data-driven decisions.3. Project Management Manage multiple projects simultaneously from concept to commercialization.Ensure timely development in alignment with launch timelines and business goals.Maintain comprehensive documentation (batch sheets, test reports, specifications).4. Compliance & Regulatory Ensure products comply with global and regional cosmetic regulations (e.g., FDA, EU, ASEAN, etc.).Prepare and review technical dossiers and safety assessments.Work with regulatory and QA teams to ensure GMP, ISO, and other compliance standards are met.5. Cross-functional Collaboration Partner with marketing and brand teams to understand trends and consumer needs.Support manufacturing scale-up and transfer processes with production teams.Provide technical input in vendor meetings and raw material selections.6. Team Leadership & Mentoring Supervise and mentor junior chemists or lab technicians.Contribute to training and development of staff within the R&D lab.7. Documentation & Reporting Maintain detailed lab notebooks, formulation records, and testing data.Prepare and present reports on product performance, stability, and technical feasibility.Key Skills & Qualifications Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field.5–10 years of relevant experience in formulation development of personal care or cosmetic products.In-depth knowledge of cosmetic ingredients, INCI names, and raw material interactions.Familiarity with regulatory standards (FDA, EU Cosmetics Regulation, ISO, etc.).Proficient in lab techniques, product testing methodologies, and data interpretation.Strong project management and communication skills.Why Work With Us?Work with leading global beauty brandsFast-paced, high-growth environment with uncapped learning
