Job Title: Chief Executive Officer – Rail Transport Business Location: India (with global travel as required) Experience: 20+ years Industry: Railways / Transportation / Infrastructure / Mobility Position Overview: We are seeking a visionary and seasoned leader to spearhead our Rail Transport business as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) . The ideal candidate will possess deep domain knowledge of the railway ecosystem, a track record of senior leadership roles, and strong relationships with government and regulatory bodies both in India and internationally. This is a transformative role, ideal for someone passionate about next-generation rail technologies and their impact on modern transport infrastructure. Key Responsibilities: S trategic Leadership: Drive the long-term vision, strategy, and execution roadmap for the company’s rail transport initiatives including freight corridors, high-speed rail, urban transit, and international railway ventures. Build and maintain strong relationships with senior government officials, ministries (e.G., Ministry of Railways, NITI Aayog), public sector undertakings (PSUs), and global regulatory bodies. Technology Adoption: Champion the adoption and integration of next-gen technologies such as smart signaling systems, green energy solutions, AI-driven maintenance, predictive analytics, and autonomous rail systems. Business Development: Identify and pursue large-scale domestic and international opportunities in rail infrastructure, EPC projects, rolling stock manufacturing, and transport-as-a-service (TaaS) models. Stakeholder Communication: Prepare and present high-level business and technical proposals to government authorities, consortiums, multilateral agencies (World Bank, JICA, etc.), and strategic partners. P&L Ownership: Oversee financial performance, risk management, operational excellence, and growth targets while ensuring sustainability and compliance. Team Building: Lead a multidisciplinary team including engineering, operations, finance, legal, and business development professionals; foster a high-performance culture. Key Requirements: Minimum 20 years of professional experience in the rail transport or infrastructure sector with at least 5–7 years in CXO/Senior Executive roles . Proven track record of engaging with top-level government officials , ministries, and global development institutions. In-depth understanding of railway systems, metro projects, high-speed rail, rolling stock, electrification, and smart mobility. Exposure to international markets and standards is highly desirable. Strong leadership, negotiation, and presentation skills with the ability to represent the company at global forums. Demonstrated experience in technology adoption and leading innovation-driven transformation in transportation. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Transport Management (Master’s preferred, MBA or M. Tech is a plus).
