Allegion is looking for a highly motivated Lead Systems Engineer, capable of working with a team of crossfunctional product development engineers and be the overall technical lead for New Product Development or Sustenance projects in the various areas including Electromechanical / Electronic Security and Safety Products. You will need to be creative and innovative while defining product architecture and conducting system integration activities, including integration of electrical, software, firmware, and mechanical design components. In early phases of new projects, you will work with Marketing, Product Management and Sales teams to properly scope program and product deliverables. You will be responsible for providing technical leadership to coordinate technical program execution and ensuring various aspects of the design are properly implemented during successful product launch will give you the opportunity to see a project through from start to finish. What You Will Do: • Define product and system requirements and specifications to meet Marketing Requirements • Define product use case, user guide, system, and interface integration documents • Develop architecture and high-level system design concepts • Design and integration of components and systems and subsystems to meet requirements • Own and ensure designs meet product requirements (functional, cost, quality, reliability, etc.) • Lead program Technical Reviews • Create product development timelines and track activities to meet delivery and cost commitments • Make design trade-offs as necessary to ensure the highest level of product performance and quality when considering product cost, manufacturability, and available technologies • Communicate product development status through reports, presentations, and design reviews • Validate and Approve required design documentation, including functional block diagrams, drawings for manufacturing and product test requirements • Develop appropriate documentation required to support product certifications, including FCC, UL, CE, and others as required by market applications • Own and Lead DFMEA with other technical team members • Lead problem-solving activities as necessary for production products or new product development utilizing the appropriate tools, such as fault-tree analysis, 5-why analysis, fish bone diagrams to get to root cause • Interact with external customers and internal cross functional technical teams as well as to leaders and managers to present technical information • Technically mentoring team members in systems competency and process related activities. What You Need to Succeed: • BE or M Tech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering / Electronics and Communication Engineering / Systems Engineering • 8 to 12 Years’ experience in electronic/ electromechanical product design and development • Solid knowledge on electronic / electromechanical product development, and understands the interfaces between software / firmware / hardware / mechanical systems • Demonstrated experience in requirements management • Demonstrated experience in technically leading projects • Must have very good SDLC skills – requirement management, design, development, debug, revision control, etc. • Must be able to work under a situation of changing requirements. Ability to quickly adapt to new feature requests from Marketing • Must possess strong analytical and communication skills and should have worked with international clients • Must be able to adhere to quality and design guidelines • Experience of developing or maintaining at least one or more product lines • Demonstrated experience in technically mentoring team members • Excellent knowledge in designing embedded systems and associated subsystems • Demonstrated experience in developing test requirements, test validation and verification • Demonstrated experience on compliance Testing (CE/FCC/Safety) • Strong engineering project management skills • Product design experience from concept to production. • Must have experience with any RTOS and working on 8/16/32 bit micro controllers with wired (RS232, One-wire, etc.) and wireless protocols (BLE, Wi-Fi, etc.) Why Work for Us?
