Job Title: Electrical Infrastructure Design Engineer Department: Building Services / Power & Energy / Electrical Engineering Location: Mumbai, Gurgaon Position Summary: The Electrical Infrastructure Design Engineer will be responsible for the design and development of electrical systems for complex infrastructure projects with a focus on Extra High Voltage (EHV) systems and substation design. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in delivering high-performance electrical solutions for critical facilities such as airports, data centers, commercial complexes, IT parks, and industrial buildings. Key Responsibilities: Design, review, and deliver EHV and MV/LV electrical systems including transmission, distribution, and substation layouts up to 400kV. Develop electrical system schematics, single-line diagrams (SLDs), protection and control schematics, grounding systems, and cable routing plans. Prepare technical specifications, design calculations, equipment sizing, BOQs, and tender documents. Coordinate with architects, structural, MEP, and other engineering disciplines to ensure integrated design delivery. Conduct load flow, short circuit, and protection coordination studies using relevant software (ETAP, PowerWorld, DIgSILENT). Ensure compliance with local and international codes and standards such as IEC, IEEE, IS, and NEC. Participate in client meetings, design reviews, and value engineering exercises. Oversee vendor drawing reviews, procurement support, and respond to technical queries during construction. Ensure quality, safety, and sustainability standards are maintained in all designs. Support project delivery timelines, cost control, and documentation. Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution. Minimum 20 years of experience in electrical infrastructure design, especially EHV systems and substation design. Proven experience in designing electrical systems for large-scale infrastructure projects such as airports, data centers, IT parks, industrial facilities, and commercial buildings. Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, ETAP, and other electrical design tools. Good knowledge of energy efficiency, green building standards, and power system safety. Experience with global standards (IEC, IEEE, NFPA, etc.) and utility coordination. Strong communication, coordination, and documentation skills.
