Experience: 7+ years Qualification - BE/BTech/MCA only Location – Mumbai Banking domain is must Working week – 5 days with alternate Saturdays working from client location as per Bank norms Notice Period: Immediate to 30 Days Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled and experienced Application Database Administrator (App DBA) with over 7 years of experience, preferably in the Banking or BFSI domain , to join our dynamic team in Mumbai . The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in PL/SQL development , database performance tuning , query optimization , application database design , and data migration . You should have a problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to database troubleshooting and optimization . Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain complex PL/SQL scripts, procedures, and triggers . Perform query optimization and performance tuning for high-transactional applications. Design and manage application databases , ensuring scalability, security, and reliability. Create and manage materialized views , indexes, and partitions for performance enhancement. Support data migration and transformation activities during system upgrades or transitions. Collaborate with developers and application teams to optimize database interactions. Conduct root cause analysis of database issues and resolve them effectively. Ensure high availability and disaster recovery readiness of critical databases. Monitor database health and implement best practices for performance and security. Document database structures, processes, and standards. Required Skills & Experience: 7+ years of experience as an App DBA or similar role, preferably in the banking/BFSI domain . Strong hands-on experience in PL/SQL development and advanced SQL . Proven expertise in query writing, tuning, and optimization . Deep understanding of Oracle database architecture and related tools. Experience with materialized views, indexes, partitions, and performance tuning . Strong background in application database design and data migration strategies . Ability to troubleshoot complex database issues under pressure. Familiarity with banking applications, data compliance, and security standards is a plus. Excellent analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
