Qualifications and Experience: Educational: UG/PG degree in Engineering/Management/HR or related field (preferred) Experience: Minimum 5–10 years of experience in training and placement, corporate relations, or HR, preferably in an engineering or technical institution Job Purpose: To lead the Training and Placement Cell with the goal of achieving 100% student placement, developing strong industry relations, and equipping students with the skills and training necessary to become employable professionals. The Head TPO is responsible for strategic planning, coordination, and execution of placement and internship drives, industry interaction, and skill development initiatives. Key Responsibilities: Placement & Internship Management Develop and implement strategies for maximum placement of students in reputed organisations. Identify and approach new companies to participate in campus recruitment. Organise and manage on-campus and off-campus placement drives, job fairs, and internship opportunities. Maintain records of student placements and prepare regular reports for management. Industry Connect & Relationship Building Establish and maintain long-term relationships with industry partners, HR professionals, and recruiters. Liaise with companies for live projects, industry visits, internships, and MoUs. Organise corporate talks, guest lectures, and industry-academia interaction sessions. Training & Skill Development Assess students’ training needs in communication skills, aptitude, technical skills, and personality development. Plan and coordinate training programs, soft skills workshops, mock interviews, group discussions, and resume-building sessions. Collaborate with external trainers, HR consultants, and industry mentors. 4. Strategic Planning & Reporting Develop a yearly placement and training calendar aligned with academic schedules. Set placement targets and monitor performance metrics. Prepare placement brochures, reports, and promotional material for the institution. 5. Student Guidance & Support Guide students on career planning, interview preparation, and industry expectations. Provide one-on-one mentorship and career counseling for higher education or job readiness. Promote entrepreneurship and start-up initiatives among students. 6. Institutional Representation Represent the college at various placement consortiums, industry panels, and career summits. Coordinate with alumni and use their network for placements and mentoring.
