This role involves managing engineering teams, collaborating cross-functionally, and ensuring compliance with global industry standards. Ideal candidates will combine deep valve design expertise with leadership and problem-solving capabilities. Key Responsibilities Lead the design of trunnion-mounted, floating, metal-seated, and soft-seated ball valves. Manage a team of engineers through development and post-order execution phases. Guide and review the work of team members; mentor junior engineers for performance growth. Plan, coordinate, and execute projects based on customer specifications and valve data sheets. Review and release GAD, BOM, and detailed drawings in ERP; manage revisions and customer feedback. Create technical literature including catalogues, brochures, and IOMs. Troubleshoot factory tests and resolve field performance issues. Support the sales team in customer-facing technical discussions. Contribute to new product development, cost optimization, and engineering standardization. Required Skills & Expertise Strong knowledge of ball valves and related rotary valve systems. Proficient in design calculations, GD&T, and tolerance stack-up analysis. Expertise in PED, API 6A, and standards like ANSI, ASME, API, EN, ISO. Hands-on experience with AutoCAD; proficiency in 3D tools such as SolidWorks, Inventor, or Pro-E is a plus. Team leadership with proven collaboration, planning, and execution abilities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Desired Skills Experience in double-offset and triple-offset butterfly valves. Knowledge of segmented and rising stem ball valves. Understanding of materials, casting, forging, and manufacturing processes. Exposure to pneumatic, hydraulic, and electric actuator instrumentation. Experience in product testing, data evaluation, report writing, and implementation. Training capabilities for cross-departmental technical upskilling. Other Requirements Proficiency in MS Office and technical documentation. Willingness to travel locally, nationally, or internationally when required. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
