Job Description

Key Result Areas and Activities: 1. Technical Leadership o Lead data engineering efforts in acquisition, transformation, and distribution across multiple projects and squads. o Ensure technical excellence and innovation in data engineering practices. 2. Framework and Product Evolution o Drive the adoption and evolution of data management technologies, including ETL/ELT tools, open-source frameworks, and workflow management tools. o Implement best-in-class solutions to enhance data engineering capabilities. 3. Architectural Improvement o Provide strategic recommendations to improve the overall data engineering architecture. o Focus on creating a scalable and cost-effective data ecosystem. 4. Knowledge Sharing o Continuously learn from peers and industry trends. o Share expertise across teams and clients to foster a culture of knowledge exchange. 5. Support for Cloud and Data Engineering COE Initiatives o Actively engage in initiatives led by the Cloud and Data Engineering Center of Excellence (COE). o Contribute to COE projects, research, and innovation efforts. Work and Technical Experience: Essential Skills: · Excellent understanding of enterprise data warehousing principles of ETL/ELT and the tools/technologies used to implement them · Proven experience with Treasure Data, including designing and maintaining complex workflows. · Strong knowledge of Dig Dag files · Strong knowledge of Presto SQL and Optimisation techniques · Experience with Python and relational databases · Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS) and their data services Desirable Skills: · Experience with version control systems such as Git · knowledge of Airflow or other orchestration tool Qualifications: · Overall work experience 7+ years good focus on Treasure data · Experience with or knowledge of Agile Software Development metodologies · Technical certifications that attribute to continuous learning aspirations Qualities: · Inherent curiosity and empathy for customer success · Obsessive about solving customer problems · Think long and act short · Collaborative with your peers, partners and your team · Excited about the mission and milestones not titles and hierarchies · Nurture an environment of experimentation and learning · Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail · Excellent communication and collaboration skills
