Role Summary We are seeking a strategic, tech-savvy, and highly collaborative Global Content Leader to oversee the content strategy, development, and execution for IDC’s global portfolio of technology events. This role is responsible for shaping compelling, insight-driven programs that resonate with executive and technical audiences, elevate our thought leadership, and drive audience engagement, brand relevance, and pipeline impact. You will lead the end-to-end content lifecycle – from theme development and speaker acquisition to session design and post-event content amplification – working cross-functionally with research, product, marketing, executive communications, and sales teams across regions. Key Responsibilities Content Strategy & Vision Define the global content vision, editorial direction, and messaging architecture for IDC’s tech events Translate business goals, market trends, and audience needs into compelling content pillars and event themes Align agendas with product strategy, demand generation goals, and thought leadership positioning Program Development Lead the development of multi-day, multi-track event agendas (keynotes, panels, breakouts) Ensure content relevance for global enterprise tech buyers (CIOs, CISOs, CDOs, etc.) Drive content innovation by experimenting with formats (fireside chats, roundtables, interactive sessions) Speaker & Stakeholder Management Identify and secure high-impact speakers, including internal IDC executives and external influencers Oversee the speaker briefing and content review process to ensure consistent storytelling and value delivery Collaborate with communications, PR, and customer advocacy teams Team & Process Leadership Lead a small global team of content producers Build scalable processes for content development across regions and events Develop content guidelines, templates, and briefing materials to ensure consistency and quality Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with IDC’s Research teams to surface market insights and shape data-backed programming Work with Product Marketing and Field Marketing to align sessions with campaigns and GTM priorities Coordinate with Events Ops and Creative teams to ensure cohesive experience design across formats (in-person, digital, hybrid) Performance & Optimization Define and track content KPIs (e.g., audience engagement, session ratings, speaker NPS, content downloads) Leverage data and attendee feedback to optimize agenda design and topic selection continuously Ensure post-event content reuse and amplification across digital channels Qualifications 7+ years of experience in content development, editorial strategy, or event programming in the tech industry Deep understanding of enterprise technology trends (AI, cloud, cybersecurity, data, digital transformation, etc.) Proven ability to develop executive-level content and manage high-profile stakeholders Strong editorial judgment, audience empathy, and storytelling skills Experience leading global teams or working in a matrixed, cross-regional environment Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and contributors simultaneously Excellent verbal and written communication skills Preferred Prior experience in a tech company, B2B media organization, or event production agency Background in journalism, product marketing, or research/analyst firms is a plus About IDC: International Data Corporation (IDC) is the premier global provider of market intelligence, advisory services, and events for the information technology, telecommunications and consumer technology markets.
