Job Title: Associate Professor & Head of Department – Human Resource Management (HRM) Location: Pune Institute of Business Management (PIBM), Pune Department: Human Resource Management Position Type: Full-Time | Academic & Administrative Role Job Summary: PIBM is seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to lead the Human Resource Management (HRM) Department as an Associate Professor & HOD. The ideal candidate will bring a strong blend of industry experience and academic expertise to drive excellence in teaching, research, curriculum design, and departmental leadership. Key Responsibilities: Academic Responsibilities: Deliver high-quality lectures in core HRM subjects (e.g., Strategic HRM, Organizational Behavior, Talent Management, Industrial Relations, L&D). Design and update curriculum to match industry trends and future HR practices. Mentor students in academic projects, dissertations, and internships. Guide research scholars and contribute to academic publications and conferences. Administrative & Leadership Responsibilities: Lead the HRM department, overseeing faculty performance, curriculum delivery, and academic quality. Develop strategic plans for department growth in alignment with PIBM’s vision. Coordinate with placement and industry interaction cells to ensure student readiness and strong corporate connect. Facilitate accreditation, quality assurance, and compliance processes within the department. Industry Collaboration: Leverage industry experience to bridge the gap between classroom learning and corporate expectations. Organize guest lectures, industry panels, HR conclaves, and workshops in collaboration with corporate leaders. Promote industry-integrated teaching practices and experiential learning. Qualifications & Experience: Educational Qualification: Ph.D. in Human Resource Management or related field (mandatory). MBA/PGDM with specialization in HRM from a reputed institute. Experience: Minimum 10 years of total experience , with at least 5 years in industry roles in HRM and 5 years in academic teaching/research . Prior experience in academic leadership or departmental roles preferred. Key Skills & Competencies: Strong leadership and team management skills. In-depth knowledge of HR practices, labor laws, and future workforce trends. Excellent communication and presentation abilities. Research orientation and publication in indexed journals. Ability to integrate technology and innovation in teaching and department functioning. Desirable Attributes: Member of HR professional bodies (e.g., NHRDN, SHRM, ISTD). Recognized contributions in HR conferences, journals, or consultancy projects. Exposure to NAAC, NBA, or other academic accreditations. Remuneration: Commensurate with qualifications, experience, and as per institutional norms.
