You will be responsible for the QA function, providing leadership & strategy. You will lead the team of QA automation engineers and QA engineers to assure quality and performance across our products and services. THE GIG As the QA Manager in our Enterprise Technology team, you will: Develop and implement comprehensive QA strategies and process to ensure product quality and performance is maintained in compliance with recognised industry standards. Lead the QA team of engineers, providing guidance and mentorship. You will support the team to ensure high performance and professional development. Collaborate with other team across technology and the wider business to ensure our quality & test strategy meets the needs of those teams. Generate regular reports on test progress, defect metrics, and quality trends. Be responsible for the execution of test plans, test cases, and scripts. Communicate test results and issues to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner. Maintain and update testing documentation, such as test plans, reports, and scripts. Devise key quality metrics and report on them to an agreed cadence. Stay updated with key industry developments to ensure we are able to benefit from latest thinking and technology in the QA area. Drive initiatives to improve testing processes, methodologies, and tools. Identify potential risks and issues (products, resources, environment, business, etc.) that could impact the release process and develop mitigation strategies. Communicate effectively with stakeholders about potential risks and the steps being taken to address them. Contribute to release plans that align with timelines. Schedule and coordinate release activities, testing, and post-release validation. Contribute to document aligned release processes, standards, and best practices to ensure consistency and repeatability. Promote a culture of continuous improvement and lead efforts in test automation, CI/CD integration, and other efficiency-boosting innovations. THE STUFF THAT SETS YOU APART Must-Have Experience: 8-12 years developing QA tooling and systems 2-3 years experience of leading a team of QA automation specialists & QA Engineers with a track record of developing team members Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, processes & systems Experience of both manual & automated testing Detailed problem solving skills Experience of working with other development teams to ensure quality is designed in at all stages of product lifecycle Understanding of software development methodologies (ie Agile, Scrum) Essential Technical Skills: Proficient with test management systems such as JIRA, Zephyr etc Proficient in languages such as C# Experience with Browserstack, Specflow, or other well know test platforms Experience with Azure Devops, Github, Jenkins (deployment pipelines) Experience with CI/CD tools and processes Experience of testing APIs; Swagger, Postman, SOAP UI, Harness Experience with performance testing as well as quality testing Expertise in developing & maintaining automated test scripts Nice to have; Mobile device testing, performance testing Desirable Skills / Experience: Experience of running SQL queries on databases, to validate test outcomes. Experience of Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance (and Operations) Exposure to any Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) Experience of supply chain planning using tools like Blue Yonder. Experience of end-to-end supply chain management Experience of testing IBM Sterling Order Management System (OMS) Experience of testing ecommerce on SAP Commerce Cloud Experience of testing any point of sales systems (POS), such as Microsoft Store Commerce. Experience of solutions using Microsoft Azure Integration Services Ability to operate with relative independence in a fast-paced work environment. Experience of Analytics and Power BI Soft Skills: Excellent communication and stakeholder management. Excellent mentoring skills, to develop a QA team Strong analytical mindset with problem-solving capabilities. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities. Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Data Science, Business Analytics) or equivalent experience.
