About Business line/Function: BNP Paribas Exane has three business lines: Cash Equities (BNP Paribas Exane); Structured Solutions (Exane Solutions); and Asset Management (Exane Asset Management). BNP Paribas Exane Equity Research, a part of the Cash equities business, provides equity research to Institutional investors globally. It currently has 106 equity research analysts covering more than 1,000 stocks globally. Department: Securities Research Production Support Business Line / Function: Equity Research Position Purpose The Supervisory Analyst (SA) reviews equity research reports written by a global team. The SA function is critical to ensure delivery of high-quality publications with accurate, engaging and clear content conforming to relevant regulatory standards. The role will be based out of Mumbai and allows 50% WFH. Responsibilities Direct Responsibilities Review analysts' financial models to ensure the meet internal quality standards Review equity research reports for grammar, style, clarity and accuracy. Where necessary, rewriting content to ensure that the reports have the right logical flow and to maximize market impact by providing catchy titles and engaging standfirsts. Ensure that research reports conform to regulatory, especially FINRA regulations regarding equity research reports, as well has internal standards. Managing consistency of content and style within and between documents. Correct discrepancies in text and tables/graphs. Ensure all internal processes are followed in publishing research reports. Ensure that reports do not have controversial, inaccurate, or disrespectful content. Participate in sounding boards to provide inputs to analysts to improve research report quality. Contributing Responsibilities · Contribute to enhance the research quality and the research production process. Technical & Behavioral Competencies Intellectual curiosity and interest in financial markets. Excellent command over English language. Excellent report writing and editing skills. Attention to detail – should be able to spot discrepancies between text and tables/graphs, and discern nuances in language. Strong analytical and numerical skills. Experience in financial modelling. Previous experience as an equity research analyst is also a big plus. Strong knowledge of financial markets, equity markets in particular, with a good knowledge of equity valuation methods like DCF analysis, comparison of valuation multiples, etc. Excellent interpersonal skills as the role involves continuous collaboration with research analysts and research management. Tact, judgement and diplomacy; respect for confidentiality. Education Level: Bachelor Degree or equivalent Experience Level: At least 11 years
