Job Description: Position Title: Project Manager – HD Mapping Department: Delivery – AV/ADAS Mapping Services Location: Kolkata or Coimbatore Reporting To: Senior Program Manager / AV Delivery Lead Level: Middle Management Role Summary: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Project Manager – HD Mapping to lead the delivery of high-quality mapping services for AV/ADAS clients. The ideal candidate will manage end-to-end operations for one or more HD mapping workflows involving base map generation, semantic annotation, context mapping, stitching, and maintenance tasks. This includes managing a team of annotators, reviewers, and QA specialists to ensure timely, accurate, and scalable delivery. Key Responsibilities: Project & Delivery Management: Plan, track, and deliver mapping projects as per client requirements and defined SLAs Develop and manage detailed workflow schedules and staffing plans across annotation, review, and QA layers Ensure adherence to SOPs, QA processes, and tool usage guidelines Own project metrics including accuracy, productivity, throughput, utilization, and turnaround times Team Leadership: Manage day-to-day performance of team leads, annotators, and reviewers Conduct regular stand-ups, performance reviews, and feedback loops Support training coordination for new workflows and skill upgrades Identify and mentor high-potential team members for lateral mobility Client & Stakeholder Coordination: Serve as primary point of contact for client delivery managers on assigned workflows Coordinate periodic reviews, sample audits, and feedback incorporation Escalate risks, deviations, or blockers proactively with mitigation plans Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives for quality, cycle time, and cost efficiency Collaborate with QA and L&D teams to refine SOPs and training content Identify automation or tooling enhancement opportunities in mapping workflows Reporting & Documentation: Maintain daily/weekly/monthly dashboards for internal and client-facing metrics Document project retrospectives and process changes Ensure proper version control and configuration management of annotated data Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, GIS, Computer Science, or related field 4–7 years of experience in project or delivery management, preferably in AV/ADAS, GIS, or data services Experience managing large teams (50+ members) in shift-based operations Exposure to HD mapping workflows – LiDAR, semantic labeling, map QA, stitching preferred Key Skills: Strong understanding of AV mapping pipelines and data annotation lifecycle Familiarity with tools such as QGIS, RoadRunner, proprietary annotation platforms Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills Hands-on experience with project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello, Asana) Ability to operate in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments Preferred Attributes: Certifications in PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile methodology Exposure to client-facing roles and global delivery environments Familiarity with SLAM, LiDAR point cloud concepts, or HD Map schemas (OpenDRIVE, Lanelet2)
