Currently House of Shipping is looking to identify a high caliber System Engineer - Cyber Security. This position is an on-site position for Chennai. Background and experience: 5–7 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 administration and security. Strong expertise in: Microsoft Exchange Microsoft Defender for Endpoint/Office/Cloud Apps Microsoft Purview (formerly Compliance Center) Microsoft DLP and Information Protection Conditional Access and Identity Protection Azure AD Security (MFA, SSO, PIM) Familiarity with Microsoft Sentinel or similar SIEM platforms. Understanding of cloud security best practices and Zero Trust architecture . Scripting knowledge (PowerShell) for automation Job Purpose: The System Engineer will be part of a fast-paced Cybersecurity team and cover broad aspects of House of Shipping M365 ecosystem. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in M365 administration, Intune endpoint protection, CASB, Microsoft Defender Suite, Microsoft Purview, and DLP. You will play a critical role in protecting sensitive data, ensuring compliance, and implementing best-in-class cloud security practices. Roles & Responsibilities: Administer and secure Microsoft 365 environment , including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive. Deploy and manage Microsoft Intune for endpoint protection, mobile device management (MDM), and mobile application management (MAM). Implement and maintain Microsoft Defender for Office 365, Endpoint, Identity, and Cloud Apps . Design and enforce DLP (Data Loss Prevention) policies across Microsoft 365 workloads. Leverage Microsoft Purview for data governance, compliance, and information protection. Configure and manage Microsoft Defender for Cloud Apps (CASB) for shadow IT monitoring and SaaS control. Design and implement Zero Trust-based security architecture for M365 and hybrid environments. Work closely with infrastructure team to meet regulatory and organizational requirements. Maintain documentation, policies, and procedures for M365 security configurations and incidents. Conduct regular security posture assessments and provide recommendations for improvements. Education requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or Computer Science Competencies and skills: Problem solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
