This is a hands-on and high-ownership role where you'll drive the entire animation vision and execution , from concept to final in-game integration. You’ll collaborate closely with designers, engineers, and artists to ensure every character movement feels responsive, impactful, and true to the game’s creative direction. Key Responsibilities Own and drive the complete animation pipeline : rigging, skinning, integration in Unity Create stylized hand-keyed animations for locomotion, combat, and in-game actions Design and implement seamless transitions between animation states Maintain consistency in animation style and quality across all character assets Build and manage Unity animation controllers and state machines Rig and skin various character models and costumes Identify and resolve animation-related bugs , ensuring visual quality throughout Core Skills & Tools Expert-level proficiency in Maya and MotionBuilder Deep understanding of animation layers , weight, timing, spacing, and posing Strong technical knowledge of Unity , especially animation controllers and integration Experience in rigging and skinning for real-time stylized character animation Prior work on shooters or motion-sensor-based games preferred Familiarity with tools like Cascadeur , Move AI , or Deepmotion is a plus Requirements 10+ years of experience in animation (games or high-end entertainment) Strong 3D animation portfolio (ArtStation or equivalent required) Solid grasp of gameplay animation systems and real-time animation Capable of leading animation efforts independently and scaling quality
