Role Overview: We are looking for an energetic and persuasive Business Development Officer to lead outreach and admissions efforts for our Commerce programs (CA, CMA, ACCA, etc.) in the Ernakulam region. The role demands strong interpersonal skills, deep understanding of the academic ecosystem, and a passion for helping students choose the right career path. Key Responsibilities: Lead Generation & Student Conversion Identify prospective students through school/college tie-ups, walk-ins, online channels, and referrals. Conduct one-on-one counselling sessions for Commerce courses. Track lead progress using CRM and ensure timely follow-ups for conversions. Outreach & Brand Building Plan and conduct career awareness programs, seminars, and webinars on Commerce careers (CA/CMA/ACCA). Represent Xylem at educational expos and institutional events. Build relationships with school/college principals, tuition centre heads, and student influencers. Marketing & Promotion Collaborate with the central marketing team to execute localized campaigns. Distribute promotional materials like brochures, banners, and social media creatives. Provide feedback to improve campaign performance based on ground realities. Market Research & Strategy Track market trends, student preferences, and competitor offerings in the Commerce education space. Share insights with senior management to refine program positioning and strategy. Explore and recommend new locations or channels for outreach. Reporting & Coordination Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports. Meet assigned targets in terms of lead generation, student conversion, and outreach events. Coordinate closely with academic, operations, and admissions teams for smooth onboarding of students. Eligibility Criteria: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related fields (MBA preferred). 1–3 years of experience in education sales/marketing (Commerce education experience is a strong plus). Fluency in English and Malayalam. Familiarity with the academic ecosystem in and around Ernakulam.
