Job Title: Senior Consultant / Deputy Manager – Data Loss Prevention (DLP) Location: Remote (India-based) Travel Requirement: Willingness to travel to Japan for client engagements (short and long-term visits as required) Experience: 4+ years in DLP and Information Security Employment Type: Full-time Role Overview: We are looking for a highly skilled Data Loss Prevention (DLP) professional at the Senior Consultant / Deputy Manager level. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, and monitoring of DLP solutions for enterprise clients. This is a remote role based in India but will involve regular international travel to Japan to engage with client teams, conduct workshops, and support implementation activities. Key Responsibilities: Lead DLP strategy and implementation projects across various client environments Configure and manage enterprise DLP tools (e.g., Symantec, Forcepoint, Microsoft Purview, McAfee/Trellix, etc.) Conduct DLP risk assessments and gap analysis, recommend mitigation steps Create policies, procedures, and workflows around data classification, handling, and loss prevention Collaborate with cross-functional teams including compliance, IT, and legal to align DLP policies with organizational requirements Perform incident monitoring, alert tuning, and rule refinement Provide support during audits and compliance assessments related to data security Prepare detailed reports and dashboards for stakeholders and senior management Conduct training and awareness sessions on DLP best practices Travel to Japan as required for client projects, stakeholder interactions, and onsite support Required Skills & Experience: Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in DLP and information protection roles Proficient in at least one leading DLP solution (e.g., Symantec, Microsoft Purview, Forcepoint, McAfee) Strong understanding of regulatory requirements (GDPR, APPI, HIPAA, etc.) related to data privacy Experience in data classification, data discovery, and endpoint protection Solid knowledge of network and cloud security concepts Excellent documentation and communication skills Ability to manage client expectations and work in a multicultural environment Japanese language skills or prior experience working with Japanese clients is a plus Preferred Certifications (not mandatory): Symantec DLP Certified Specialist Microsoft Information Protection Administrator Associate CIPP/US, CIPP/E, or equivalent privacy certifications ISO 27001 Lead Implementer / Lead Auditor CISSP / CISA / CEH
