Scope of Service : Nursing Administration – Round the clock service Professional & Educational Qualification: GNM / B.Sc. Nursing / M.Sc. Nursing. Valid State Registration in India if not from Maharashtra Nursing Council Desirable Certification: Preferred Certification in Ward Management / Nursing Administration or any other management program Preferably valid certification in Basic Trauma Life support / BLS / ACLS / NALS & PALS Evidence of participation in various programs & update & maintain current professional knowledge & clinical skills. Professional Experience: Total 10 years of experience out of which minimum 3 years on Supervisory duties Should be well versed in written & verbal languages – English, Hindi & Marathi. Computer proficiency in Microsoft office – word, excel, power point & email communication. Excellent Communication & Interpersonal skills Decision Making Authority To alter staff levels to meet the needs of the patient population To accept or to refuse patients based on appropriate staffing and bed availability. To advocate on behalf of patients and families where professionally identified Take decisions to demonstrate plan of care for patients and families Core Job Responsibilities To maintain adequate nurse patient ratio & should be well versed in contingency & disaster management plans of the organization To maintain shift wise census & other statistical records as needed by the administrative department To be able to resolve issues arising from customer / staff dissatisfaction, conflict resolution to the utmost outcome as desired. To support staff in difficult cannulation, code blue scenarios & any other codes / clinical scenarios arising in his / her shift Recognizes legal implications and responsibility in practice of nursing Specific Core Skills 1 Collaboration with internal stakeholders to facilitate communication & co-ordination within departments 2 Effective triaging of the patients & Management of Medico legal cases 3 Care of dead / Death on arrival & Mortuary services 4 Management of Ambulance Services 5 Disaster Management – Natural & Manmade emergencies in community 6 Effective management & handling of rapidly changing emergencies. 7 Response to various codes, facilitate co-ordination & effective documentation 8 Well versed with various invasive & resuscitative procedures, assist / guide Nurses in clinical areas 9 Bed Management & handling scenarios related to non-availability of beds in hospital 10 Handling of emergency surgeries, Cath lab procedures or any other clinical activity during non-working hours 9 Maintaining all statistical data & Census per shift as advised by management
