Job Purpose/ Summary* The Support – Cold Zone Finishing role involves assisting in the operations and quality control activities in the cold finishing section of WDIPL. The role supports the smooth functioning of finishing processes, ensures product quality compliance, and coordinates with other departments to meet production targets and safety standards. Job Description* As an Engineer in the Cold Zone Finishing department, you will be responsible for overseeing the operations and management of the cold zone finishing process of ductile iron pipes. You will be expected to ensure compliance and safety standards are met, while also utilizing your analytical skills to optimize processes and improve efficiency. Principal Accountabilities* Oversee the operations of the cold zone finishing process, ensuring that all activities are carried out in accordance with established procedures and standards. Utilize SAP and other IT-related applications to monitor and control operations, ensuring that all data is accurately recorded and reported. Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations, conducting regular audits and inspections to identify and rectify any potential issues. Use your analytical skills to identify areas for improvement in the cold zone finishing process, implementing changes as necessary to increase efficiency and productivity. Liaise with other departments and stakeholders to ensure smooth operations, resolving any conflicts or issues that may arise. Demonstrate a global mindset and commercial acumen, understanding the wider business context and making decisions that align with the company's strategic objectives. Foster a culture of entrepreneurship and people excellence, encouraging innovation and continuous improvement among your team. Manage a team of operators, providing guidance and support to ensure they are able to perform their roles effectively. Network with industry professionals and stay updated with the latest trends and developments in the field of cold zone finishing. Make informed decisions based on data and analytics, balancing the needs of the business with the resources available. Please note that this role requires a high level of technical knowledge, as well as strong leadership and management skills.
