Indian Institute of Art & Design (IIAD) and AND Academy B-26, Okhla Phase – I, New Delhi - 110020 Timings 09.00 am – 06.00 pm (Monday to Friday) 10.00 am - 05.00 pm (Saturday), 2 Saturdays off Work from office Reporting- Chief Operating Officers of AND Academy and IIAD Job Description Development, maintenance, security, performance optimisation and updating of webpages on current WordPress website Development of new webpages and blog pages, and taking them live Customisation and development of themes Conversion of design from PSD to WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, Static HTML and CSS-JS Conversion of HTML / PHP to WordPress Identification and debugging of any technical errors on the website Optimisation of website architecture, including migration from WordPress to React / other if needed Work Experience 5+ years of work experience in web development Must be a full stack WordPress developer Extensive hands-on experience of working on WordPress and PHP, JS, CSS Extensive experience of website development, security, maintenance and deploying to staging and production Experience of page speed optimisation, performance optimisation (caching, minification, image optimisation), lazy loading and using CDNs (like Cloudflare) Experience of creating custom WordPress themes and custom plug-ins (including reusable functionality), and managing plugins, back-end settings and custom post types Experience of using Ajax and MySQL Database Experience of using API / Rest API Experience of using front-end technologies including CSS3, JavaScript, HTML5 and jQuery Experience of using code versioning tools including Git, BitBucket and Github Understanding of front-end design, including responsive design (CSS Flexbox/grid, media queries), cross-browser compatibility, DOM manipulation and Single Page Application (SPA) Familiarity with SEO plugins like Yoast Additional Skills React development JavaScript (Backend) Familiarity with performance tools like PageSpeed Insights and GTMetrix Other Backend technologies Other Database technologies (eg. MongoDB) Personality & must have Good communication and coordination skills Excellent problem-solving skills Excellent planning, prioritisation and project management skills Excellent people and team management skills, as well as ability to coordinate with other departments Hard-working with high level of attention to detail
