Job Purpose Participates and leads credit or scorecard review initiatives to ensure the Bank’s current lending channels are compliant with published credit policies, underwriting guidelines, departmental procedures, regulatory requirements and investor guidelines. Review moderate to complex loan documentation, using up-to-date comprehensive knowledge and experience to mitigate risks. Prepares written report for Department Manager detailing observations and recommendations for corrections. Works with impacted business units to address remediation and training. Analyzes published business unit policies, procedures, and forms to ensure accuracy and alignment with current investor guidelines and requirements. Consults with Government and Agency investors, vendors, legal counsel and Lending Compliance department, as needed. Serves as Compliance Coordinator for Banks Management Directives and Guidelines. Prepares written report for Department Manager detailing observations and recommendations for corrections. Facilitate and lead discussions with Business Unit Managers and Senior Leadership as it pertains to Quality Control review results. Identify opportunities for new reviews, enhancements, automation, data driven compliance and improvement of Quality Control oversight programs for lending products offered by the Bank. Conducts compliance reviews, scheduled loan level documentation, transactional testing, risk assessments on lending products and services through focused and random sample basis. Participate in touchpoint meetings with business unit leaders and communicate regulatory change management. Participate in business unit touchpoint meetings. Perform QA continuous monitoring of regulatory compliance through the data driven compliance reporting processes. Review marketing campaigns, disclosures, new products, and general regulatory questions. Evaluate process maps, procedures, policies, and management directives for accuracy and completeness. Prepares written report for Department Manager detailing observations and recommendations for corrections. Works with affected business units to accomplish remediation and appropriate training as required. Supports Bank's efforts on all corporate compliance audits and Agency compliance examinations, including advance preparation. Leads applicable target reviews. Should be able to handle client relationships to ensure smooth delivery. Should possess operations skills to support client in a range high volume compliance tasks. Possess strong knowledge of documentation, SOP’s, and process workflows. Communicate extensively over the phone to onshore partner to escalate/resolve issues. Adherence to controls and compliance standards Key Competencies Qualifications/Skills: Deep understanding of FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA and investor guidelines. Minimum 4-6 years of experience in the relevant area Graduate equivalent education Previous compliance/risk management experience Strong communication skills – written and verbal. Knowledge of financial products/markets and familiarity with regulatory policies Strong research, analytical and comprehension skills, with ability to analyze and document large amounts of data. Sense of intellectual curiosity, enthusiasm, integrity, and confidentiality Excellent judgement and attention to detail Strong analytical and organizational skills Self-starter with ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
